Infolabo, the online tool for milk quality information

Infolabo is a software program that provides real-time information on milk quality. It enables breeders to access and exchange test results in real time. This tool has been available for 15 years, and 2/3 of farmers use it. This success is due to the high performance of the tool. Created by the CNIEL, most milk producers use it to receive milk analyses by e-mail, SMS or fax. This saves time for producers and dairies alike. Before Infolabo, results were delivered on paper. With Infolabo, you can always have this information at hand, without the risk of losing it.

Performance for breeders

Set up in 2007 by the CNIEL, Infolabo has been adopted by the majority of milk producers. This computerized system enables farmers to check milk quality online, on a daily or monthly basis. Interest in this program continues to grow.

To use this tool, simply register. This will give you an idea of the effects of a change in your herd’s diet on milk quality.

Infolabo offers undeniable advantages to its users:

  • Ease of use. You can receive your results online or by fax.
  • Fast results.
  • Easier harmonization between milk producers.
  • It gives access to a producer’s history for the previous 13 months.

How does Infolabo help?

Each time milk is collected, a sample is taken for analysis. Once this is done, the results are communicated to the breeders. These results enable them to apply the right price to milk according to its quality. Milk processors can also access this information, knowing the quality of each producer’s milk.

Infolabo is free for both breeders and dairies. All information is provided free of charge. To access it, simply create an account and log in to the portal.

How to use the Infolabo program

To use the software, you’ll need a code supplied by your laboratory. You can then access the site, enter your login details and click on the ” results ” button. You’ll see the results for each breeder or tour. You’ll get monthly analysis results and a 13-month history.

Some useful information about Infolabo

Milk producers and milk processors will not use the Infolabo portal in the same way, so we’d like to take a look at how this tool can benefit both.

For producers

If you are a producer, you can find the results of your analyses in the ” results ” and “producer” sections. This gives you access to the latest results, as well as those for the last 3 months. By clicking on history, you’ll also have access to all results for the last 1 year.

You can download them in the form of an excel file, allowing you to consult your analyses offline without accessing the Infolabo website.

For transformers

The usefulness of the Infolabo portal for milk processors lies in the possibility of accessing the milk analysis results of each producer. Even better, you can see the results for each tour and each tanker.

To do this, after logging in, click on the ” results ” button, then ” producer “, and you’ll be able to view all the results for each producer.

If you click on the “by tour” button, you can access a wealth of information. Filters allow you to refine your search. You can view information by tanker, or by type of milk.

Another useful platform for milk producers and farmers

Another platform is enjoying huge success thanks to its usefulness to the farming world. Indeed, the Agriaffaires website is well known to most of the rural world, dairy farmers and others. This is a site for buying and selling agricultural equipment, land and animals.

The interest of this site comes from the large number of sales ads it contains.
